Finally a survey in Australia that looks at the cost of Eating Disorders not just in medical terms but the cost of quality of life, wasted years, burden on family.. you can download here . Don't let the illness cost you anymore than it already has. Seek support for your recovery. You are worth investing effort and determination to achieve the life you deserve and can have.
I have come across a great app that I think is a very useful tool for recovery from an eating disorder. Go to this website www.recoveryrecord.com to download the free app for your iphone . See what you think ... his will help you manage meal plans and log your progress. Good luck .. get started.... be honest in using this application. Help heal yourself. show it to your counsellor/therapist/GP whom ever is helping you in your recovery.
You know a big part of recovery, involves discovery... Discovery at many different levels. things about yourself that you maybe hadn't realised before. Discovering what your true values are and how you want to live the rest of your life...... discoverying a new way of being ... Sometimes it involves recognising what it is that makes you feel heavy.... you will discover that it is not your body but maybe something else. Once that false worry, belief or attitude to yourself is lifted you are no longer weighed down...... you discovery a freedom of being.
Founded TRED in July 2011 to give encouragement and hope to people in Tasmania who are seeking recovery from an Eating disorder.
