Spring normally brings with it excitement and new possibilities. The excitement of the inevitable summer that will follow Spring and the hope and possibility that comes with the new blooms and bulbs that appear. Tody however it is overcast, cool, and drizzling. It is easy to forget the spring days of last week and focus on the grey of today. It strikes me that that is how recovery from an Eating disorder can feel. There are inevitable grey days. Spring brings rain, it's natural. That's why there is so much growth during this time. You will have hopeful sunny days during recovery but you will also have the occasional day that makes you wonder where spring has gone.. It is still with you. You can continue to grow in the rain. Keep going and you will soon see the bulbs again, in the meantime, be thankful for the time to reflect and be grateful for the sunny days you enjoyed last week.
Founded TRED in July 2011 to give encouragement and hope to people in Tasmania who are seeking recovery from an Eating disorder.
