role models for children. Not just our own but all children. This is so important when we consider the many influences today that impact on Body esteem and the development of healthy relationships with food. IF we can't go a day without "fat talk" or negative thoughts about ourselves how can we expect a reduction in the incidence of Eating Disorders?
We need to adopt an attutide of acceptance of ourselves and work towards well-being that has a focus on relationships that are nuturing and promote a happy healthy lifestyle. The second , aspect of this photo is the possiblilty of the little child leading by her own innocence and uncomplicated self-acceptance. Sometimes we lose sight of our natural healthy appetite and allow things to become way too complicated. How nice to be happy in your own skin like a little 3 year old. I hope we can all protect that feeling in the children around us.
The final thing that this beautiful photograph highlughts is Trust,, holding a trusted hand..... to recover form an Eating Disorder it is important to trust yourself again, let go of the unhealthy controls that have become too important in yoiur life. Learn to trust yourself and hold the hands that are offered to help support you. Trust those hands and believe in the path that is possible for you.
